A few weeks ago, I came across a digital caricature tutorial and went digging through my photos looking for a good candidate to try it out on. This is my digital caricature of Micah. He thinks it’s super hilarious, and I have to agree!

We’ve been trying to get together for a grandkiddies portrait on my side of the family for a few months now, and every time we planned something one of my kids would get sick. The first time was the flu and the second time scarlet fever, so definitely NOT something we want to be spreading to my nieces and nephews! Our kids had a PA day yesterday, so I sent out a quick e-mail on Saturday to see if it would work to finally get together. There are eight kids ages 6, 6, 6, 5, 4, 1, 1, and 5 months, so you can imagine that this is no small task. But we managed to get it done! Not everyone was happy about it so we did the best we could, but I LOVE the final result. It’s a true picture of each child’s personality at this point in time. We are blessed!

This year, I am participating in a group that is aiming to write a letter to their children every month. Since I love to scrapbook, I decided to combine my two loves and create a page to go with my letter every month. I will rotate through my kids, so I’m starting with the eldest (by 1 minute!), Micah.
