Well, our session turned into a mini session because of my inability to find the location on time (sorry again!) and the rain, but we braved this family beach session anyways! Thanks Pete & Chandra & family for being good sports through not-so-nice conditions:) Here is a sneak peek of a few of the images from our mini session.

I had the pleasure of photographing John & Melanie’s young family early one morning. Melanie is a good friend of mine and we’ve known each other since we were babies! You may recognize Ethan from his newborn photos, although that boy has done A LOT of growing in a few short months. John & Mel, your family is beautiful. You are blessed:)

Last week, I received my first gallery wrap canvas order from Willow Paper Works. To say that I’m thrilled with them is an understatement! This grouping of three are 20×20 in size and have a 2 inch deep border on the sides (they also come in 1 inch if you prefer). The quality is outstanding, and the canvas finish makes the photography just pop off the walls. Beautiful! I am so happy with them, and know they will be treasured in our home for years to come.
We have average 8 foot ceilings in our main living area. Usually when people hear “20×20″ they think that it is so huge! But when you see it up on the wall, you can see that bigger is indeed better. I think these three portraits wouldn’t have half the impact if they were 12×12.
I also designed an edge with a pattern, texture and each of my children’s names on it (on all four sides), instead of the traditional route of wrapping the photo around the edge. This adds another level of personalization to my heirloom art pieces!
Before I hung them, I took photos of each of my children with the portrait of themselves. This also gives you a little more perspective on the actual size of the canvases. Micah and Rachel are almost 4 years old in these photos, and Danielle is 2 1/2.

Here are some more images of my beautiful niece, Juliana. With a few of baby sister Elyse tucked in there, too:) Enjoy!
I had the pleasure of having a session just for my niece Juliana today. We did little sister Elyse’s one year shoot back in January, but Sarah wanted to also have some photos of Juliana to have for their walls.
Here is a sneak peek of today’s session. And of course we had to sneak the other family members in:) Enjoy!

They are such a beautiful family!!! I love the location and the processing. That first one is my favorite…I bet the family will love these even though it didn’t work out exactly as you had planned for.
